Sheds #8
From the front, this octagonal garden shed shows off its wide door with black strap hinges and the small windows on the sides. The wood shake roof slopes up from every wall to a cupola at the top.
A barbecue and a garden light sit beside it, and the trees behind the fence give the yard a shady, sheltered feel. The natural wood siding glows in the light.
A shed like this does a lot of jobs at once. It keeps garden tools and outdoor gear dry, and it adds a real point of interest to the side of the house.
Every face of the roof and every wall had to be cut to the same angle so the building closes up evenly. It’s the kind of careful work that makes a small building look great for many years.
