This octagonal cabana stands in a side yard next to the house, with a wood shake roof and a small cupola on top. Its many sides give it a round, friendly shape that looks good from every angle.

A wide door with black strap hinges sits on the front, and small windows on the other sides let light into the space. The natural wood siding has a lovely warm colour, and the trees behind it add a soft green backdrop.

A barbecue sits close by, so the cabana is handy for storing grilling tools and outdoor gear. It also makes a striking focal point at the side of the house.

The trim around the windows and corners is kept simple, so the shape of the building does the talking. It’s a cabana that adds real charm to a narrow side yard, and it makes good use of a space that might otherwise go to waste.

Take a look at the cupola up close. This same building also appears among our sheds as Sheds #8.
