Sometimes the best way to show off a deck is with the furniture on it. Here the grey deck boards have room for a full patio set, a rug and a coffee table, with space left over to walk around without bumping into anything.

Black railings wrap the edge of the deck, and the string lights hung along the top rail make it just as nice after dark. Past the railing there’s a view over the yard to a tall row of evergreens, so the space feels private without needing a screen.
