Decks #96

Tall corner deck screen with a lattice top and pergola cap at the end of a deck with black baluster railings, designed, built and installed by Palmer's Woodworking of Fergus, Ontario.

From the side of the house, the corner deck screen stands tall at the end of the deck. The solid lower boards rise up to a lattice section and a pergola cap, giving that corner a strong, finished look.

The screen sits next to the railing with black balusters, and the skirting below wraps the deck down to the garden. It adds privacy on that side of the deck, so the seating area feels tucked away.

A corner deck screen like this is a practical way to add privacy just where it’s needed, without closing in the whole deck. It also adds height and interest, so the deck looks great from the yard. We built it at Palmer’s Woodworking in Fergus.

Seen from the side yard, the screen rises above the railing like a small tower, and the lattice keeps it from feeling too heavy.
