Decks #94

Lower deck with stairs leading to an upper level, railings with black balusters and a screen with a pergola top at the back, designed, built and installed by Palmer's Woodworking of Fergus, Ontario.

Standing on the lower deck, you can see the deck stairs and pergola that make this project special. The stairs climb up to the next level, and behind them the pergola-topped screen frames the corner.

Railings with black balusters line the stairs and the upper level, and the wood boards on the lower deck are wide and even. There’s room here for a table and chairs, with the upper level close by.

Getting the deck stairs and pergola to line up takes careful planning, since everything has to look right from every angle. Our team at Palmer’s Woodworking in Fergus designs the whole deck together so each part fits with the rest.

From down here, the screen at the back of the upper deck is a nice backdrop, and the black balusters pick up the darker colours of the house. It all comes together as one design.
