Decks #91
This low corner deck wraps around the corner of a brick house, right outside the bay window. A step at the corner makes it easy to get down to the grass, and the deck boards run neatly from edge to edge.
At the back, you can see the raised part of the deck with its privacy screen, giving that side of the deck some shelter. The warm wood looks great with the brick and the lawn.
A corner deck with steps can make an awkward part of the yard feel useful. It’s a good place for a couple of chairs, and it ties the two sides of the house together. We designed and built it at Palmer’s Woodworking in Fergus.
See what the yard looked like before and the after photo to see the difference the new deck made.
See the raised deck and privacy screen too, or look through more decks.
