Sheds #7
This white garden shed is tucked into a leafy corner of the yard, with hydrangeas and shrubs growing all around it. The painted siding is bright and clean, and the dark shingled roof gives it a sharp outline.
A pair of doors with decorative black hinges opens on the front, and a small window on the side lets in light. A stone pad in front of the doors keeps the entry clean and dry.
The roof has a deep overhang over the doors, which helps keep the rain off when you’re carrying things in and out. It’s a simple detail, but one that makes a real difference.
With mature trees overhead and gardens on every side, the shed looks right at home, as if it had always been part of the yard.
Painted siding like this is also easy to touch up down the road, so the shed can stay looking fresh for a long time.
