We designed, built and installed this custom white fireplace mantel. It has a wide shelf and a clean, simple frame around a grey stone-look surround and a gas fireplace.

Above the shelf, a tall, plain overmantel rises to the ceiling. Keeping it free of trim lets the fireplace speak for itself and makes the room feel taller.

The bright white looks especially good against the dark wood floor, and pot lights in the ceiling wash down over the overmantel for a soft glow in the evening.

A simple mantel like this one is all about good proportions. The shelf, the frame and the overmantel all need to be sized to the fireplace and the room, so it looks right from across the space.

Each part is measured and built to fit, then installed on site. We take care with every joint and every edge, so the finish is smooth and the lines stay crisp for years to come.
