We designed, built and installed this fireplace mantel for our client in Arkell, ON

This white mantel frames a linear fireplace set in a bold black and white stone surround. Pilasters run up each side, and a wide shelf separates the fireplace from the overmantel above.

The overmantel has a recessed niche built right in for the TV, so the screen sits flush and the whole wall looks planned. Crown moulding along the top finishes it off.

The dramatic stone is the star here, and the clean white woodwork gives it a frame that lets it stand out. Against the grey walls, the whole fireplace wall really pops.

We build every mantel to suit the fireplace and the home around it. With a surround as bold as this one, the woodwork needed clean lines and careful proportions so it frames the stone without competing with it.
