We designed, built and installed this dark mantel on a stone fireplace. Stacked stone wraps the gas fireplace, and a dark mantel shelf caps it off.

Above the mantel, a tall chimney rises up to the vaulted ceiling. The height draws your eye up and makes the fireplace the clear centre of the room.

The dark mantel ties in with the darker tones in the stone, and the soft grey walls keep everything feeling calm and light. It’s a simple combination that looks great in a room with high ceilings.

A mantel shelf like this one gives the fireplace a finished look and a place for a few seasonal decorations, without taking anything away from the stone.

Each mantel is measured, built and fit on site, so it sits level and tight against the stone. We take care with every detail, so it looks great for years.
