Kitchens #42

White kitchen cabinets and peninsula with glass-front uppers, a stainless microwave, range and French-door fridge, a black countertop wrapping a sink peninsula, glass pendant lights and a dark mosaic tile backsplash.

A peninsula is a hard-working feature in any kitchen, and this one pairs white kitchen cabinets with a peninsula that holds the sink and faces out into the room.

White shaker cabinets run around the room, with glass-front uppers at one end and a stainless microwave set over the range. The black countertop, with a subtle sparkle, wraps from the back wall around the peninsula, and a stainless French-door fridge sits at the end of the run. Glass pendant lights hang over the counter, right where you need the light most.

A glass mosaic tile backsplash in dark, grey and silver tones adds texture behind the counters, and the grey walls and dark plank floor make the white cabinetry really stand out. It’s a bright, practical layout that works for busy everyday life, with room to prep, serve and clean up without getting in each other’s way.
