Decks #99
Decks aren’t only for the backyard. This front porch deck gives a brick bungalow a proper landing at the front door, with wide wood steps coming down to the interlock walkway.
White railings run along the front of the porch and down beside the steps, a crisp match for the white door and window trim. The wood deck boards and fascia add warmth, and the low height keeps it in scale with the house.
A front porch deck is one of the first things people see when they visit, so it’s worth getting right. It makes the entry safer and more welcoming, and it can lift the look of the whole house from the street. Palmer’s Woodworking builds porches and decks from our shop in Fergus.
The steps are wide enough for two people to walk side by side, and the porch has room for a chair or a pot of flowers by the door. Out front, the curved walkway leads visitors straight to it.
There are lots of other decks to look through in our portfolio.
