A tall privacy wall turns one corner of this deck into a quiet place to sit. The wall is built from horizontal boards, so it blocks the view from next door while still looking warm and finished.

The rest of the deck stays open, with a short railing section with black balusters and steps on two sides leading down to the grass. The deck sits right outside the sliding door, so it’s an easy step out from the kitchen.
