Decks #107
Seen from the far side of the garden, this backyard deck blends right into the yard. The black railings outline the deck against the trees, and in front of it there’s a seating area set among the plants.
Because the deck is set back and the garden fills in around it, the whole yard feels layered and lush. You can sit on the deck and look out over the garden, or come down and enjoy it at ground level.
A backyard deck works best when it’s planned with the rest of the yard in mind. We think about the paths, the views and where people will gather before we start building. That’s part of what we do at Palmer’s Woodworking in Fergus.
See what the yard looked like before and the after photo to see the difference the new deck made.
