Palmer’s Woodworking is a deck builder in Guelph and they designed and built this deck for their client.

This deck was built around a hot tub, with a tall privacy screen of horizontal wood slats along one side. The screen is topped with beams that reach out over the tub, giving it a bit of shade and making the corner feel tucked away from the neighbours.

Wide steps come up from the side yard, and a wood railing closes in the front of the deck. The warm wood looks right at home against the red brick, and the fresh plantings along the base help it settle into the yard.

A hot tub deck needs a solid frame, an easy way in and out, and a bit of privacy. As a deck builder serving Guelph, we keep all three in mind from the first sketch to the last board.
