This lakeside cabana sits at the far end of a long, sloping lawn, with the water stretching out behind it. From the house, it looks like a little retreat tucked in under the trees.

The building has a pergola at one end and a covered section beside it, with natural wood siding that blends into the setting. A big tree stands nearby and shades part of the lawn.

The landscaping around the cabana includes large boulders, ornamental grasses and small garden lights along the path, so the walk down to the water feels like part of the experience.

A cabana near the lake gives a family a place to keep towels, life jackets and lawn chairs close to the shore, and a shady spot to rest after a swim.

The view from the cabana back up toward the house is just as nice, with the lawn rolling up the hill and the gardens on either side.
