We designed and built this cabana for our client in Fergus, On

This cabana in Fergus gives the backyard a handy place to change, store pool gear or just get out of the sun for a bit. It sits on a paved pad near the black metal fence, with a pair of glass doors in the middle and a small window on each side.

The walls are finished in natural wood siding that glows a warm gold in the afternoon light. A gable roof with a deep overhang keeps the rain off the doors, and the trim around the windows and corners gives the building a tidy, finished look.

Even a small cabana like this takes careful planning. We think about where the doors should face, how the light will come in and how the building will look from the house, so it fits the yard as if it had always been there.

Over time the wood will soften to a silver grey, or it can be stained to keep that fresh golden colour.
