Bars Fergus #27
Palmer’s Woodworking designed, built and installed this bar in the basement of their client in Fergus, Ontario.
This basement bar in Fergus is built around a long peninsula with a grey counter on top and dark cabinets below. There’s room for four stools along the front, so it’s easy to gather a group around the bar.
A post at the end of the bar ties into the ceiling and frames the opening, while the back wall holds open shelves for bottles, glasses and display pieces. A TV fits in among the shelves, which makes this a great place to watch the game.
The dark wood looks sharp against the light grey floor and white walls, and the signs and framed prints on the walls give the room its own personality.
When we build a bar in a basement, we plan the layout around how you want to use it, from where the stools go to how much room you need behind the counter. That way, it works as well on a busy night as on a quiet one.
